Colon Resection Pictures What Problems Can My Sister Expect As A Result Of Her Colon Resection?

What problems can my sister expect as a result of her colon resection? - colon resection pictures

Yesterday my sister had surgery to remove his entire set-up and transverse colon just below the left corner of colon cancer. She leaned forward and keep your bowel anastomosis was good. How does this affect in their daily lives? Any information would be appreciated.

It is very likely that there will be problems of surgery (right hemicolectomy I think) the name of the procedure. Hubby is in January and did not adjust his diet to all and do not now eat regularly - if Diarrah too long between meals.

Side effects include:
- The change of the stool / bowel habits
- The failure of the anastomosis (very rare, do not worry)
- Submitted infection (usually in the early recovery phase)
- Abscess of the intestine (also rare)

In the short term you may be asked to follow a low residue diet to give time to heal too well, but that is really only for a few weeks.

Bono is now there is only half of the colon, while colonoscopy if they (could be seen to be shorter both in time and in the physical length of the prisoners!)

Good luck to them!

Now he is back and pay their credit cards and bills, LOL!

(Sorry, .. it was a great impact on me when I beat my cancer. It is a big problem had to be!)

To the answer a little more seriously, the most important function of the colon, remains the majority of the water after a meal has been digested by the stomach, Food and components have been absorbed from the intestine to remove the mud. "So the main thing is that your sister have to do is your food intake (Oncologist his help with this) to adjust to make room for his post-operative itself.

The anastomosis (sewing the two ends), it has some risks, but they are infinitely better to take a bag of shit for the rest of his days!

Statistically, it is likely that your sister comes to a point in a short period, when (almost) forget is what happened.

Best wishes!
